Language requirements

As the Digital Media and Society programme is completely taught in English, you are required to provide evidence of your proficiency in the English language. We accept the following language certificates:

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), for which the minimum score required is 100 (on the internet-based test).
IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System), for which the minimum overall score required is 7.0.
Cambridge English Qualifications (CAE or CPE), for which the minimum score required is 184.
ITACE (Interuniversity Test of Academic English), for which level C1 is required.

Students who have completed previous studies in an Anglo-Saxon country or students who have completed a fully English-taught bachelor degree (minimum 3 years), can provide copies of transcripts and diplomas as proof of their English proficiency.

Diploma requirements

On the basis of the following degrees obtained outside the Flemish Community:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of communication sciences
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in social sciences (e.g. political science, sociology)
A master’s degree in behavioural sciences (e.g. psychology)
A bridging or preparatory programme for a master’s degree in communication sciences

On the basis of the following degrees, or similar degrees, obtained at an institution of the Flemish Community:

  • After successfully completing the abridged programme: Master in de psychologie (na toelating) ( Leuven, 60 sp. ) , the following degrees are accepted:

    • Master of Psychology: Theory and Research (na toelating) (Leuven)

Language requirements

As the Digital Media and Society programme is completely taught in English, you are required to provide evidence of your proficiency in the English language. We accept the following language certificates:

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), for which the minimum score required is 100 (on the internet-based test).
IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System), for which the minimum overall score required is 7.0.
Cambridge English Qualifications (CAE or CPE), for which the minimum score required is 184.
ITACE (Interuniversity Test of Academic English), for which level C1 is required.

Students who have completed previous studies in an Anglo-Saxon country or students who have completed a fully English-taught bachelor degree (minimum 3 years), can provide copies of transcripts and diplomas as proof of their English proficiency.

Document requirements

•  Diploma(s) and transcripts of academic records (if you are still studying at the time of your application, you are requested to provide the provisional transcripts of your current studies)

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of communication sciences
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in social sciences (e.g. political science, sociology)
A master’s degree in behavioural sciences (e.g. psychology)
A bridging or preparatory programme for a master’s degree in communication sciences

•  Copy of proof of payment of the application fee made either via bank transfer or via credit card
•  Copy of the identity page of your passport
•  Letter of Motivation (one-page letter motivating your interest in the programme) and CV
