Attendance at all sessions as scheduled for the group to which the student belongs is mandatory. Failure to attend a session scheduled for the student’s group will only be excused for reasons beyond his/her control.  In that case, the student will be expected to join the other group or – if this is not possible – be assigned a make-up task. Failure to attend a session will result in a zero grade for that session, to be deducted pro rata from the student’s overall grade. Three unexcused absences will result in a zero grade for the entire course, except in circumstances beyond the student’s control. Such exceptions are at the discretion of the course coordinator, without prejudice to the authority of the ombudsperson to reschedule exams for serious reasons.
