Aims

The objective of this tutorial is to introduce students to new legal research methods, in particular methods for classifiying and exploring large collections of legal documents, which can be very useful to develop and test new theories of law but can also be employed in legal practice. Students will work in a team to complete a collective task, which may include, for instance, annotating judicial decisions to train an automated classification algorithm.
