Aims
The seminar - by means of the discipline "History of Law" -
aims at obtaining judicial skills, developing or sharpening the ability to analyse and to formulate problems and solutions in a judicial relevant way, to report and discuss over it, to handle sources of law and to develop an ethical and value consciousness. Moreover, the seminar aims at a more profound study of a problem and includes in any case a verbal contribution (discussion or presentation), resulting in a written paper.

Content
The seminar includes
- a logical, short and distinct analysis of a given problem or assignement;
- a social setting of a given problem or assignement;
- the gathering of relevant sources;
- a written report, drawn in fine Dutch;
- a verbal report, followed by a group discussion;
- a final discussion of the general subject.

Format: more information
The students are expected to be able to recognize an existing problem in the history of law properly, describe it in about thirty pages and be able to explain it to their fellow students.
