POC Mobiliteit en Supply Chain

At the end of this course, the student is able to:
- identify the main roles in a supply chain system (manufacturing, distribution, retail and consumption), understanding their relations, define their goals;
- use conceptual, analytical and numerical tools for modeling supply chain systems and solving key issues;
- discuss decision-making issues in supply chain management (eg. competition, collaboration strategies);
- describe the differences of various management policies for what concern information, inventory management, production and distribution, etc.
- identify network economics and system dynamics issues in supply chains systems; and analyze them in a quantitative manner;
- follow guidelines for designing supply chain systems.

Basic knowledge of operations research is required.

Mixed prerequisite:
You may only take this course if you comply with the prerequisites. Prerequisites can be strict or flexible, or can imply simultaneity. A degree level can be also be a prerequisite.
Explanation:

Evaluation

Evaluation: Supply Chain Engineering (B-KUL-H28J0a)

Type : Partial or continuous assessment with (final) exam during the examination period
Description of evaluation : Written
Learning material : Course material, List of formulas, Calculator

During the semester, a graded computer session is organised. During the standard exam period, the student has to describe a set of theoretical notions and solve a set of exercises/examples.
