After successfully completing Schakelprogramma: Master in de architectuur (Brussel/Gent) the following degrees are accepted:
Professional Bachelor of Construction
Professional Bachelor of Interior Design
Professional Bachelor of Applied Architecture

After a preparatory programme

On the basis of the following degrees, or similar degrees, obtained at an institution of the Flemish Community:

  • After successfully completing the preparatory programme: Voorbereidingsprogramma: Master in de architectuur ( Gent, 75 sp. ) , the following degrees are accepted:

Students with a degree not obtained at an institution of the Flemish Community

Students who did not obtain their previous degree(s) at an institution of the Flemish Community should submit an application via the Admissions Office: https://www.kuleuven.be/english/application/.

Diploma requirements

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in the same field of study.

Language requirements

Students comply with the language requirements if they have obtained one of the following:
- the minimum score on one of the following internationally recognized English proficiency tests: www.kuleuven.be/english/admissions/lang/lang-test
- a diploma of secondary or higher education in the Flemish community
- a diploma (secondary or higher education) taught in English in Australia, English-speaking Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America

Additional requirements

-  A digital portfolio showing an overview of academic projects from your bachelor and/or master degree (max. 20 slides).
The format, layout, graphic techniques etc. are free. The portfolio should give an overview of your academic accomplishments, particularly regarding architectural design (meaning the whole scala from object to urban design). The only other requirement is that it is digital. Hard copies will not be accepted.
-  A signed recommendation letter from a lecturer at a university or other educational institution or a letter from a professional who is able to give an objective assessment.
