Aims
This course evaluates the following learning outcomes:
The student
1.3 (SIE) solves problems of multinational enterprises which originate from cultural, administrative, geographical and economic differences between countries.
1.4 (SIE) reflects critically on the international and European political, economic and institutional context in which companies operate, on the impact this context has on the functioning of companies and how companies can anticipate on this.
2.1 (SIE) advises strategies for international operations of firms.
2.4 (SIE) analyses the international and European dimensions of the economy and the strategic problems and questions this imposes on international firms.
2.5 (SIE) formulates on the basis of scientific knowledge and insight into international business strategies a well-founded solution for strategic business problems and questions and when doing so, takes into account the specific international business context, the stakeholders involved, and the broader international environment in which the company operates.
2.4 (SIE) reflects critically on the international and European economic, political and institutional context of an international firm and on how business strategies can be adapted to that context in order to improve the functioning of the company.
3.1 (SIE) plans, organizes, implements and optimalises internationalisation strategies, taking into account fundamental differences between countries.
4.1 (SIE) estimates the impact of societal developments such as globalization on firms' international strategies.

7.5 has a critical attitude and is able to put himself and his environment into question.
8.1 formulates the interdisciplinary problem in a team which lies at the roots of the project, analyzes the content of the project, the circumstances around the project and factors influencing the process of the project and formulates on this basis (general) objectives for the project.
8.2 organises the project in team and formulates a detailed and realistic planning taking into account the context of the research question, the scope of the project, the side conditions, the limitations, the quality expectations and available resources.
8.3 follows individually and in team the schedule and applies time management.
11.1 realizes that he/she will end up in a rapidly evolving knowledge economy and is aware of the necessicity to update and improve acquried knowledge, capabilities and competences in his/her field.

Explanation
Determination of the final grades
The grades are determined by the lecturer as communicated via Toledo and stated in the examination schedule. The result is calculated and communicated as a whole number on a scale of 20.
40% of the evaluation is on the assignments, 60% on the final written exam.
Information about retaking exams
for the resit the evaluation is identical as the first examination opportunity (40% on the assignments during the year and 60% on the final written exam) in the same academic year.
In a next academic year, the evaluation is on the written exam paper only
