Urban and River Hydrology and Hydraulics (B-KUL-H0P98A)
Aims
- To learn the theory of hydrological cycle, hydrometry, rainfall statistics and design storms, rainfall runoff and hydrological processes and modelling
- To learn and apply the theory of advanced open channel flow: unsteady flow, branching, … to sewer and river systems
- To learn and apply the design of sewer systems and ancillary structures
- To learn and apply hydrological and hydrodynamic modelling tools
- To demonstrate scenario analysis and model based decision support: flood and water availability management and control
Previous knowledge
Hydraulics or fluid mechanics and hydrodynamic processes
