Students with a degree not obtained at an institution of the Flemish Community

Students who did not obtain their previous degree(s) at an institution of the Flemish Community should submit an application via the Admissions Office: https://www.kuleuven.be/english/application/.

Diploma requirements

Admission of students is based on a selection procedure. Candidate students submit an application containing detailed information on their prior studies, work experience, additional competencies, proof of proficiency in English and motivation statement. Successful applicants are holder of a Master degree in Human or Behavioral Sciences. They obtained their degree with good study results and from a good university. They meet the universities entry requirements in terms of English proficiency. They have clear academic and/or professional goals and are able to motivate why the program will help to achieve them.

Applicants with a strong IT-background (e.g. applicants who are also holder of a Bachelor of Master degree in Computer Science, or who have similar expertise through professional experience) will be advised not to enroll in the program. Applicants with a background that does not match with any of the areas of expertise of the teaching staff will also be advised not to enroll.

Language requirements

All applicants must prove their proficiency in English. The accepted English proficiency tests are:
-  TOEFL: minimum overall score of 600 (paper-based), 250 (computer-based) or 100 (internet-based).
-  IELTS Academic test: minimum overall score of 7.0

The following applicants are exempted from submitting an English proficiency certificate:
-  Applicants who have obtained a previous university degree taught in English in Australia, English-speaking Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Their diploma and transcripts suffice, provided they confirm that the entire university study was completely taught in English in one of the previous countries.
