Aims
2.4 Apply knowledge of the language functionally and creatively using an appropriate register.
3.1 Know and have an insight in the phonological, morphological and syntactical system.
3.2 Know and have an insight in social and geographical language variation.
3.3 Apply the knowledge of language system and language variation in interpreting utterances.
Previous knowledge
Follow-up course. The students have to master the competencies that are described for German: Linguistics 1. A solid knowledge of basic German and Dutch grammar is required as well as linguistic understanding regarding the functionality of and variation in grammatical structures.
