Content
This course deals with important academic theories and empirical research related to:
- The cultural sociological approach of media
- Production and ideology
- Texts and meaning
- Consumption and identity
On the one hand, students will learn to position themselves in the academic debate through a critical evaluation of different, often incompatible theories. On the other hand, they learn to translate theories to ideas and hypotheses that can be applied to topical case studies.
