The master architecture focuses on the one hand on the discipline of architecture as a profession, but also on a wide range of cross-curricular profiles in which architecture as a social vision and radical action can be strongly discussed In addition to the substantive and domain-specific deepening of the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes from the bachelor, the master leads to the professional field, or to further study and research.

Has insight into context analysis, concept formation, problem sensitivity and engagement, ethics and personal imagination
  • He / she is able to reflect on current and innovative architectural-theoretical perspectives.
  • He / she can critically situate a complex (architectural) design.
  • He / she can generate alternatives from a multidisciplinary and intercultural insight.
  • He / she can use designs as a mediating medium.
  • He / she can reason and reason critically about the dynamic relationship between theory formation and practice.
  • He / she is able to reason and reason critically about the position of his design within the current international architecture discourse.


Is able to formulate his own research or project strategy and to work independently and methodologically in a creative design process.

Can develop a structural design strategy on a complex case.

Can communicate his research graphically and orally in a personal way from an artistic-architectural perspective.
  • He / she uses visual and graphic skills correctly and expressively in his design process.
  • He / she can communicate the results of his design and research to a wide range of stakeholders (international, cross-disciplinary,…).
