Logic: Advanced Course (B-KUL-W0Q22A)
Aims
The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to philosophical logic, i.e. non-classical (extra-classical or anti-classical) logic.
At the end of the course the student should:
- be able to solve exercises for various non-classical logics;
- be able to (i) assess philosophical issues related to non-classical logics and/or (ii) connect non-classical logics to scientific fields of study.
Previous knowledge
The student has successfully completed an introductory course in logic, e.g.(W0Y03A), Logic (W0W03A) or the equivalent.

Format: more information
The course will be taught through lectures. During these lectures there will also be ample opportunity to make in-class exercises and to engage in discussion of philosophical issues.

Explanation
The exam will be an open-book written exam during the examination period. The exam will comprise exercises for the various non-classical logics and questions about philosophical issues related to non-classical logics and/or connections of non-classical logics to scientific fields of study.
