Applications of Operations Research (B-KUL-HMI32A)
Aims
Upon completion of this course, the student gains insight in the applications of advanced operations research methods. In particular, the student will be able to
- See the relevance of quantitative techniques in business and economics
- Develop exact and heuristic solution techniques for large scale mixed integer programming problems
- Understand the use of advanced operations research techniques in solving real-life cases
Previous knowledge
This course focuses on students with a strong quantitative and technical/scientific background and requires background in modeling and solution techniques for linear and integer programming.
