Aims
Upon completion of this course, the student will have achieved the following objectives:
- The student has knowledge of and insight in the origins, the nature and the functioning of the EU, its institutions and its policies;
- Building on the discussed concepts and theories, the student is able to analyze the processes of EU integration and policy making;
- The student has a critical attitude towards European integration, the EU and its policies, and towards scientific and non-scientific analyses of the EU;
- The student has insight in the tensions between the theory and the practice of European integration.
These objectives will be communicated to the students at the beginning of the course.

- Analysis of the function of the EU Institutions;

- Theories, issues and ideas on European (des)integration.
