Aims
- Students are able to analyse intercultural phenomena and thus to better understand the context of their own discipline.
- Students are able to understand complex issues from an intercultural perspective (by focusing on current themes).
- The students are able to contribute to the socio-political debate in an academically responsible way and to analyse arguments in strongly ideologised discussions.

The structure of the course is as follows:

Each academic year one or more debates, lectures or other events are organized of which every student attends at least one. At these events, various aspects of the course are framed within a socially relevant and topical issue. The event is an essential part of the course and needs to be studied for the final exam.
