Aims
To gain insight into musical history from the beginning of the West-European tradition until ca. 1600. To learn elementary analysis techniques concerning the music from this period. To determine the chronology and style of listening-examples from the period.
Previous knowledge
No specific prior music-historical knowledge required. Basic musical skills are presupposed (the abiltiy to read music).
