Aims
The Master's Thesis is the paper a student finishes his Master's programme with. It shows the student’s analytical, synthetic and problem solving abilities. The paper reflects the investigating attitude of the student and is a first product of individually performed scientific research. The student proves he is capable of individually consulting and critically analysing primary and secondary sources and justifying the used research methodology.

Content
At the end of this course, the student can:
- present their own research results of the master theses both in writing and orally;
- organise a scientific conference;
- think and work collectively in a scientific collaboration framework.
Format: more information
The students can collectively organise an academic conference on issues related to Arabic and Islamic/ Middle Eastern Studies, in which they can present the important results of their research for MA theses. The organization of the conference falls under the responsibility of the students under the guidance of staff members. They learn to divide the organizational tasks, such as organizing location, panel forms, writing and collecting abstracts, inviting a keynote speaker, peer-reviewing and responding to each other's papers, and publishing the papers in an e-book that can be placed on the website of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the end of the study year.
