Aims
1. To offer insight in the world of the auditing function
2. To thoroughly cover the principles and procedures which are at the base of accountancy control
3. To learn to apply the studied principles and procedures when solving practical control problems.

- The institutional framework of external auditing
Part 2: General conceptual framework for auditing
- the auditing process
- materiality and risks
- description and assessment of the internet control system
- variety of evidential material, control and auditing tests
- spot checks and statistical methods in auditing
Part 3: Notions of Operational auditing
- objectives, methodology and programme
- operational auditing of the most important transaction cycles
- file management, reporting and following up
Part 4: Thorough study of internal auditing
- objectives, methodology and programme
- financial auditing of the various annual accounts
- file management and reporting
Part 5: Four case studies in the field of financial auditing:
- analytical procedures
- internet control tests
- client accepting procedures
- materiality and risks
