Learning outcomes and development goals:

K1L Have a basic scientific-disciplinary knowledge and understanding of the polyvalent training of Engineering Technology

K2L Have a basic scientific-disciplinary knowledge and understanding in one of the areas based on the chosen specialization

I1L Problem analysis and solving

I2L Designing and/or developing

I3L Application-oriented research

P1L Operationalising

G3L Critical reflection

Objectives:

The student knows the principles of operation of modern analog sensors, and is able to make a well-founded choice between them. [K1, I2, G3]

The student knows the principles of operation of typical ADC (analog-to-digital converters). [K1, I2, G3] The student is able to design a system to read out a measurement from an analog sensor, via a microcontroller platform and network connection to a PC application. [I1, I2, P1] The student can demonstrate the performance of a practical measurement system: Accuracy, resolution, linearity, etc.[K1, I2, G3] The student can choose an appropriate sampling rate to sample a signal. [K1, I2, G3] The student can draw an analog sensor and measurement transducer in a P&ID, or interpret an existing P&ID. [K1, I2, P1] The student is aware of recent developments (research topics) within the field. [G3] The student has instrumental research skills regarding analog sensors and their interfacing. [I3]
