Dissertation Postgraduate Certificate Sustainable Polymers in a Circular Economy (B-KUL-T5ZDI2)
Aims
Upon completing this course, the student:
- can independently apply the addressed theories, methodologies, principles and tools to study and define a concrete action plan for a case within the own professional context.
- can estimate, analyse and evaluate the impact and value of the relevant frameworks and methodologies w.r.t. circular economy and sustainable polymer materials and products.
- can analyse, evaluate, explain and argument, orally and written, a case study within the own professional context, considering the multidisciplinary aspects within circular economy, and take informed decisions based on the outcome of the study.
- can contribute to the development of the transition to a circular economy from the own background and expertise.

Activities
5 ects. Dissertation Postgraduate Certificate Sustainable Polymers in a Circular Economy (B-KUL-T5tDI2)
Content
• Under the supervision of the lecturers, the student performs a case study on a specific sub-aspect of the circular transition within her/his own organization, using the theories and tools provided during the courses.
• The student pitches her/his case study to fellow students and lecturers (from both choice modules), whereby feedback is given to each other.
• The student writes a thorough and critical paper on the case study containing a description of the literature and background information, used study approach, study results and an action plan to implement the transition.
• The student presents and defends the case study and results to the examination jury.
