Evaluation
Evaluation: Manufacturing Technologies 2 (B-KUL-T72126)
Explanation
Calculation of the final mark
The final mark of this course is calculated based on the published component marks with the following weighting factors:
- Component mark for Lecture: 100%
- Component mark for Lab sessions: Bonus/Malus (-2/+2)
The only exception to this rule is described in the complementary regulation of the Faculty of Engineering Technology to article 66 in the Regulations on Education and Examinations. A "fail" mark for the company visits is hereby considered equivalent to a partial grade <5/20.
Calculation of the published component marks
The Lecture is evaluated during a written examination. A non-graphic calculator may be used during the exam.
The lab sessions are permanently evaluated (attitude, preparation, active cooperation,...).
Absences
Participation in the permanently evaluated activities is mandatory. Students who miss one or more sessions due to force majeure (e.g., illness) must justify their absence in writing (in the case of illness by a certificate of illness) to the education ombuds and the instructor concerned. They must make arrangements with the instructor(s) in charge with a view to making up the missed session(s). Unauthorized absence will result in a NA.
For absences during the teaching weeks, please contact the education ombuds on the first day of your absence. If you missed one or more obligatory sessions, please contact your professor as soon as possible and certainly within a week. For absences within the exam period, please contact the exam ombuds on the first day of your absence.
When needed, additional information on the evaluation activities is provided during the lessons and/or made available on the Toledo pages of the course. When needed, additional information on the evaluation activities is provided during the lessons and/or made available on the toledo pages of the course.
Information about retaking exams
This course unit allows partial mark transfers in case of partial pass mark:
- T3hPR2 - Manufacturing Technologies 2: Lecture (during and beyond academic year)
- T3pPR2 - Manufacturing Technologies 2: Lab Session (during and beyond academic year)
Students who have attended the lab sessions regularly during the year can improve their score by independently solving one or more of the lab sessions that will be selected by the instructor involved. Students that did not regularly attend the lab sessions as defined by the exam regulations (i.e. the students that received an NA-score) cannot redo the exam.
