Aims
- the student is able to discuss in class as well as in writing different theoretical approaches of intercultural exchange in World History
- the student is able to analyze arguments of theoretical and historical studies with respect to issues of European Expansion, Exchange, and Globalisation
- the student is able to outline main historical evolutions with respect to the transition from premodernity to modernity
- the student is able to write an essay on models and concepts of intercultural exchange and globalisation
Previous knowledge
- The students need to have a good knowledge of world history since 1500
- Active oral and writing skills in English (corresponding to the general admission requirements for MAES)
