All applications are evaluated by both KU Leuven admissions office and the relevant Master programme director. Admission is ultimately at the discretion of the faculty. GRE scores assist application processing and are strongly recommended. Please contact ETS requesting an original score card be forwarded to us using the following Institutional Code: 0749.

After admission procedure

The Erasmus Mundus consortium uses common admission criteria for the EMM-Nano program. Admitted are Bachelor students in Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or a related discipline, with a proven background in mathematics and physics or chemistry. A minimum of 180 ECTS credits and a GPA (Grade Point Average) of at least 75% of the scale maximum is required.

The admission policy is intended to ensure equal opportunity of access to higher education for qualified European and third country students.

A common application and selection procedure is used for all students.

All applications are administered by the central International Office (IO) of the KU Leuven and evaluated by a common selection commission.

The selection criteria are the applicant's background and previous education, the applicant's excellence based on the obtained GPA, the English language skills and the completeness of the application file.
