Students develop a thinking framework involving chronical care and care programm. Students get familiar with operating mechanisms of palliative care and care in the terminal phase. Apart from that, students learn how to use prevention in the broad sense of the word. Students also form a vision on integration of diseases in society, social exclusion, multiprofessional cooperation and volunteer aid and students are able to estimate the consequences of all these topics for their own practices through casus study reflection.

Students are familiar with the basic terminology involving health care. They have acquired concrete experiences in first line health care during their house doctor courses and health care internship.
