The Comparative law tutorials aim to develop skills rather than transfer knowledge. Thoroughly prepared students participate actively in discussions in smaller groups. During each session certain capita selecta from different legal areas are studied through a comparative law approach. In this way students find themselves oliged to read legal texts in a foreign language. They are encouraged to engage in a comparative law method themselves and to apply, in a creative way, the theory taught during the Comparative Law lectures to concrete questions. The sessions provide sufficient time for students to come forward with their own opinions in a constructively critical way.
