This course is a topics-based introduction to contemporary Anglo-American philosophy. We will be looking at a variety of different topics that have been at the forefront of research in Anglo-American philosophy including epistemology, philosophy of mind, ethics, philosophy of religion, freedom of the will, personal identity, philosophy of art, philosophy of language, truth, and analytic/continental philosophy divide.
