Aims
- To gain insight in pastoral theology as a scientific discipline (historical development, object, method, and overview of the different schools).
- To understand the relationship between pastoral theology and other theological disciplines, psychology of religion, and sociology of religion.
- To become acquainted with the bibliographical sources.
- To make contact with the different sectors of pastoral theology: proclamation and communication, diaconia and care, establishing of a community, etc.
- For each of these domains attention is paid to the application on a practical level.
Previous knowledge
To be able to read English.
