Aims
- Students acquire insight into the main problems and ethical theories related to social ethics, particularly with regards to human rights, justice, the relation between faith and politics.
- As a result of the course students must be capable of actively participating in public debates on these questions by way of articulating Christian principles in light of basic insights and arguments from contemporary secular thinking.
- Students know how to read and interpret official documents from the Catholic church on social ethics and have a clear understanding of its content and historical development.
