Aims

This course aims to reflect on the preaching and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth in its historical context, and to examine the early Christian doctrinal tradition regarding the person and work of Jesus Christ with particular attention being devoted to the doctrine of the Trinity. At the same time, it seeks to clarify the Christian doctrine of God, with particular attention to the understanding of the implications of this doctrine for the Christian understanding of salvation.

The course is divided into five parts and consists of eleven chapters:

Part III: The Easter Experience
Chapter 8: The Nature and Meaning of Easter
Part IV: The Experience of the Spirit
Chapter 9: The Nature of Early Christian Experience
Part V: The Christian Experience of Salvation
Chapter 10: Models of Salvation
Chapter 11: The Christian in the World
