Objectives

Continuing from previously acquired general economic knowledge and insight in business studies, students learn in this degree to develop and optimize complex company systems individually or in team. They learn to base their activities on research based economic frames of mind, complemented with insights in technological processes and their business economic applications. At the same time, they acquire deep and broadly usable competences in functional domains (accountancy and finance, marketing,...). Thus, they develop the necessary skills to quickly advance to executive functions in a company.

The degree consists of compulsory courses, a major and a minor, as well as a Master's thesis.
*  The compulsory courses aim to develop the competences to indicate the business economic consequences of technological processes and modular construction. It offers the way of thought to be able to estimate the strategic consequences of decisions and to be able to contemplatively maintain sufficient distance.
*  The major offers a level in a discipline-specific way of thought, allowing graduates to quickly advance to executive assignments.
*  The minor allows students to choose between either a level in an other discipline than the one of the major or a broadening of their vision on business problems through another discipline.
