Direct access:
- Bachelor of Science in de ingenieurswetenschappen, major subject werktuigkunde
- Bachelor of Science in de ingenieurswetenschappen, major subject chemische technologie / computerwetenschappen / elektrotechniek / geotechniek en mijnbouwkunde / materiaalkunde with subprogramme werktuigkunde

After a preparatory programme to be determined by the programme director:
- Other Bachelors of Science in de ingenieurswetenschappen
- Master of Science in de industriële wetenschappen, after admission

After a preparatory programme (up to 60 credit points):
- Bachelor of Science in de industriële wetenschappen (related discipline), after admission
- Master of of Science in de industriële wetenschappen (direct access is possible, after admission)

The transition of Bachelor in de industriële wetenschappen is controlled by rules depending on the followed degree, see www.esat.kuleuven.be/electa/teaching/master, 5.4.

Admission decisions are based upon evaluation of a complete application file:

Applicants must have completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a highly related field, encompassing a minimum of 180 ECTS credits or equivalent academic qualifications from an internationally recognized university.

Applicants must furthermore have taken at least 60 ECTS credits in the area of electrical or mechanical engineering and in mathematics (including calculus, numerical methods, algebra, probability theory and basic control theory) equivalent to at least 30 ECTS credits.

The selection will be based on the excellence of the candidates' academic record. To verify this, the candidates have to submit several documents to the universities International Office.

For this program a Grade Point Average (GPA) for the BSc study of at least 75% of the scale maximum is required.

A high level of English is absolutely necessary. Students must provide proof of their command of English (equivalent to CEFR level B2) by means of a sufficient result on one of the following tests: ESOL Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE), International TOEFL score 92 (Internet-based test), IELTS (academic version) overall band score 7.

* Providing a Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is not required but it might by a valuable asset to your application:
General test score of at least 450 in verbal reasoning, 4.1 in analytical writing skills, and 650 in quantitative reasoning.
