Students with a degree other than 'Bachelor in de taal- en letterkunde' (e.g. Bachelor's degree in a modern language, including literary theory) are required to submit a file showing substantial academic background in the field of study. In addition to the documents specified by the University's International Office (cf.http://www.kuleuven.be/applicationform/?js=1 ), this file should contain:
- certified course descriptions in Afrikaans, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish;
- proof of proficiency to CEFR level C1 in English and in the language(s) of the elective courses chosen. For English, this means an IELTS score of at least 7, or a TOEFL score of at least 600 (paper-based test), 250 (computer-based test), or 100 (internet-based test).
