Philosophical Components
Students take one Philosophical Component every stage. BA1 students are prohibited from taking W0EA5B: Philosophical Anthropology, W0EB1B: History of Philosophy: Modern Philosophy, W0EA8B: History of Philosophy: Ancient Philosophy, W0EB3B: Contemporary Continental Philosophy, W0EA6B: Philosophy of Being.
Electives
Students are required to take one elective during the first stage and two electives during the second and third stage. Students are required to take at least one subject in the field of Classical Languages and one subject in the field of Canon Law during the first, second or third stage. Students who have never followed a course in Canon Law before entering this programme are required to take 'Foundations of Canon Law', which is an introduction to all other courses in this field. With regard to the philosophical components, BA1 students are prohibited from taking W0EA5B, W0EB1B, WEA8B, W0EB3B, W0EA6B.
Modern Languages
In the framework of the student's individual study trajectory, he/she can opt for a modern language as an elective.

Philosophical and Anthropological Components
Integrative Courses for Exchange Students
This course is only meant for (1) exchange students in the Erasmus-Socrates and other programmes; (2) students entering the Abridged Bachelor of Arts in Theology & Religious Studies with a study programme of 60 study points or less. All other bachelor students are required to follow Introduction to Theology.
Guided Individual Work
Students from the first stage and all new students from the second stage follow the Introduction to Theology. Students from the second and third stage follow the Interdisciplinary Seminar and write an Essay each stage.
