After admission procedure
Students with different master’s degrees can submit an application for admission, which should demonstrate that:
- The student has the necessary background in an engineering context
- The student has an understanding of the (manufacturing) industry
- The student has a good command of the English language, both orally and written (at least level B2+)
- The student is motivated to successfully complete this programme
The application will be evaluated on the basis of these four criteria by the educational committee of the programme.
Students with a degree not obtained at an institution of the Flemish Community
Students who did not obtain their previous degree(s) at an institution of the Flemish Community should submit an application via the Admissions Office .

Diploma requirements

All applicants must prove their proficiency in English. The English proficiency test scores accepted by KU Leuven are:• TOEFL iBT certificate: minimum overall score of 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based) or 79 (internet-based);
• IELTS Academic certificate: minimum overall score of 6,5;
• Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE) or C2 Proficiency (CPE) certificate.
The following applicants are exempted from submitting an English proficiency certificate:
Applicants who have obtained a previous diploma (secondary or higher education) taught in English in Australia, English-speaking Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
