After admission procedure

Candidates who do not hold one of the listed diplomas can submit an application for admission, which will be assessed by the interuniversity educational committee established within the framework of this programme and bringing together representatives from the three faculties involved.

Participants should hold a Master's degree in the field of engineering before they can further specialise in technologies in the domain of smart operations and maintenance.

Students who did not obtain their previous degree(s) at an institution of the Flemish Community should submit an application via the Admissions Office: https://www.kuleuven.be/english/application/.

Diploma requirements

Language requirements

All applicants must prove their proficiency in English. The English proficiency test scores accepted by KU Leuven are:

• TOEFL iBT certificate: minimum overall score of 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based) or 79 (internet-based);
• IELTS Academic certificate: minimum overall score of 6,5;
• Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE) or C2 Proficiency (CPE) certificate.

The following applicants are exempted from submitting an English proficiency certificate:

Applicants who have obtained a previous diploma (secondary or higher education) taught in English in Australia, English-speaking Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
