Language requirements
All applicants must prove their proficiency in English. The English proficiency test scores accepted by KU Leuven are:- TOEFL iBT certificate: minimum overall score of 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based) or 79 (internet-based);
- IELTS Academic certificate: minimum overall score of 6,5;
- Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE) or C2 Proficiency (CPE) certificate.
The following applicants are exempted from submitting an English proficiency certificate:
Applicants who have obtained a previous diploma (secondary or higher education) taught in English in Australia, English-speaking Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

Innovative, Entrepreneurial and Professional Competences (min. 9 ECTS)
In consultation with the coach and with the approval of the faculty, the student chooses courses from this list for a minimum of 9 credits. The list contains courses related to innovative, entrepreneurial and professional skills of all participating universities. The list also includes a number of courses that our faculty arranges especially for the postgraduate programme, which are further described below.

Project Supporting Courses (min. 3 ECTS)
These courses are domain-specific technological and non-technological courses that support the innovation project. The courses can be taken from various programmes of all the participating universities, in agreement with the coach and with approval of the faculty. The student has to take technological courses for at least 3 ECTS credits.
