Students who did not obtain their previous degree(s) at an institution of the Flemish Community should submit an application via the Admissions Office: https://www.kuleuven.be/english/application/.

Diploma requirements
Bachelor (of Science) in Chemistry, Physics, or any equivalent level if authorized by the legislation of the corresponding European Country. Other scientific bachelors can be accepted, provided the student takes complementary levelling courses, set by the programme director of the TCCM programme. These courses can be taken before or simultaneously with the master programme.Language requirements
All applicants must prove their proficiency in English. The accepted English proficiency tests are:- TOEFL: minimum overall score of 500 (paper-based), or 79 (internet-based).
- IELTS Academic test: minimum overall score of 6.5
- C1 Advanced Cambridge or C2 Proficiency Cambridge
The following applicants are exempted from submitting an English proficiency certificate:
- Applicants who have obtained a previous university degree taught in English in Australia, English-speaking Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Their entire programme should have been completed in English.
- Applicants who have obtained a Belgian diploma.
Absolutely no other diplomas will be accepted as evidence even if the applicant has followed an exclusively English-taught programme.
Additional information
To guarantee homogenous evaluation of these requirements, the cases of applicants coming from Third Countries (outside EU) or from Bachelors different from the aforementioned ones will be handled by the International Committee.
The selection of the students applying for the Master is made (this applies both to European and third-country students) by the International Committee of the Master
