Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Sustainable Territorial Development
Master of Science
Education
The Erasmus Mundus Master in Sustainable Territorial Development aims to develop students' expertise in spatial management and sustainable development on regional and local levels (cities, rural areas, industrial districts, etc.) as well as to support policies that integrate economic, environmental, international, intercultural, territorial and context-driven dimensions. To this end, the programme focuses on society and companies embedded in systems of governance and stakeholder participation. The European and non-European students study together at the Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy, 30 ECTS) in the first semester. In the second semester, they move to KU Leuven (Belgium, 30 ECTS). The following year, the programme continues at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon - Sorbonne (France, 30 ECTS) in the third semester. The last semester is dedicated to an internship and the Master's thesis (30 ECTS). Students complete the final semester at one of the three aforementioned universities, or at the Universidade Catolica Don Bosco in Brazil. Extensive experience and international collaboration ensure a multidisciplinary approach that opens students' perspectives to the sustainability of territorial use and organisation, while also confronting them with various policy tools and management strategies in divergent territorial contexts. The Erasmus Mundus Master in Sustainable Terristorial Development is an initial Master's programme. You can follow this programme only on a full-time basis.
